JuJitsu
Curriculum
The art of Shintoyoshin-Kai JujitsuĀ is taught in our adult jujitsu program. It is a Japanese style of jujitsu. The emphasis is on balance, leverage, and sensitivity while learning the aspects of falling, throwing, striking, groundwork and basic
self-defense.
All classes start with a yoga based stretch followed by a warm up routine consisting of calisthenic and plyometric exercises. From there, each class is a little different as we might emphasize falling & throwing in one class, striking & joint locking in another or we might rendori (wrestle) for a good part of class. You will receive through instruction in your self defense curriculum, as well as how to navigate the ground in order for you to get back to your feet.
